16G USB drive failure
When pfSense was installed from a 16GB USB drive the geometry caused the installation to fail. With a smaller USB drive the geometry still doesn't match, but the installation proceeds.
Note (September 2014): I don't think this is true, it relates to not setting loader settings. see pfSense boot troubleshooting.
